It is easy to assume that one of fashion’s best kept secrets would be nestled in the heart of the nation’s fashion industry, but he’s not. Andrew Nowell, Designer for Andrew Nowell Menswear, hails from New York City, but is comfortably and creatively settled in the nation’s capitol.
For Andrew, fashion design has always been his passion. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, he attended the High School of Art and Design,and went on to attend New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology, where he majored in Menswear Design.

After completing his degree program, Andrew enlisted in the U.S. NAVY for a short period of time, and in 2007, began designing and crafting collections under his signature label, Andrew Nowell Menswear.
Described as modern, masculine and sexy, Andrew Nowell Menswear is a tailored sportswear line inspired by the musical cultures of Hip Hop, Rock and R&B; paired with the influences of British Tailoring at Central London’s Savile Row and Urban hipsters in New York City’s Trendiest neighborhoods.
Over the years, Andrew Nowell Menswear has developed a solid reputation for quality and style. He boasts a thriving list of private clientele that includes the likes of actors, Travis Winfrey and True Blood’s Mehcad Brooks; Rap Artist and Musican B.O.B; professional athletes, Ryan Nece (formerly of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers); Devin Thomas of the New York Giants, and a growing list of recording artists, musicians, actors and athletes.

In March 2012, Andrew Nowell Menswear was featured on BET’s RIP THE RUNWAY. In addition to being featured in Jet Magazine and Krave Magazine, Andrew Nowell Menswear has also been included in publications such as the Washington Post, The Examiner, The Washingtonian, Source Magazine and NBC.com, among others.

Andrew is also the Creative Director and designer of DASOUL, (www.dasoulinc.com)  a men’s underwear line he

launched in 2010, to provide a sexy, comfortable and stylish alternative in the mens underwear market.

Today, Andrew works out of his design studio in Washington, D.C. and the collection is available online and carried exclusively at Caramel Boutique on U st in the District of Columbia.
